Los Angeles County Tax assessor has a new web site that may answer some basic questions along with downloads for maps and forms.
The site tells you how to read your tax bill, how to contact county offices, explains how your property is assessed and has information on Prop 58(exclusions for transfers between parents and children)and Prop 60 and Prop 90( tax relief for senior citizens who sell a home and buy one of equal or lesser value)
The new site is: LA Property Tax.
You will also be able to e-mail questions and hopefully receive information back.
They have information about supplemental tax bills for people who recently purchased a new home.
After reviewing the site I think it will be very helpful to all of us. This is one I think all homeowners should bookmark.
