Check your windows to be sure they are correctly sealed.

Make sure your doors have the right type of weather stripping.

Try to keep the temperature between 68-70 in the day and 65 or less at night.

Buy a programmable thermostat to regulate the temperature when you are out.

Have someone check your furnace to be sure it is working properly.

Replace the filter on your furnace.

Make arrangements for a large loan to pay for gas for the car and heating the house
