Home Energy Costs

Looks to be a cold winter with some hot fuel bills.
Experts think we may see winter gas bills shoot up 30-50% depending on the size of your home.. and that's here in sunny Southern California.
What can you do short of wearing a coat all day?

  • Check your windows to be sure they are correctly sealed.

  • Make sure your doors have the right type of weather stripping.

  • Try to keep the temperature between 68-70 in the day and 65 or less at night.

  • Buy a programmable thermostat to regulate the temperature when you are out.

  • Have someone check your furnace to be sure it is working properly.

  • Replace the filter on your furnace.

  • If you are thinking of replacing your windows buy double pane windows.

  • Make arrangements for a large loan to pay for gas for the car and heating the house
