Home Prices in Beach cities January 2005-January 2006

2005 saw some big numbers in home appreciation in all Beach Cities. Manhattan Beach was consistently among the ten most expensive cities in California for every month in 2005.
The following is a list of cities and the average home prices for the period from january 2005-January 2006


EL SEGUNDO:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES: 79 homes sold last year. The average home price was $926,873.


TOWNHOME/CONDOMINIUMS: 46 properties sold in 2005. the average price was $528,087.


HERMOSA BEACH:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES: 157 homes sold in 2005. The average price was $1,535,500

TOWNHOMES/CONDOMINIUMS: 122 properties sold last year. The average sprice was $963,199.


MANHATTAN BEACH:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES: 387 homes sold in 2005. The average price was $1,767,034.

TOWNHOMES/CONDOMINIUMS: 106 properties sold last year. The average price was $1,339,660.

REDONDO BEACH:

NORTH REDONDO:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES: 239 homes sold last year. The average price was $783,860.

TOWNHOMES/CONDOMINIUMS: 488 properties sold in 2005. The average price was $739,918 just slightly below the average price of a single family home.

SOUTH REDONDO:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES: 143 homes sold in South Redondo. The average price was $1,056,985.

CONDOMINIUMS: 128 condos sold in South Redondo last year. The averae price was $598,846.

TOWNHOMES: 163 townhomes sold in 2005. The average price was $885,683.


The average number of days on the market in the Beach Cities was between 26-38 for SOLD properties.
