The City Council has decided not to remove the water tower at 8th and Rowell providing it is structurally sound. The water tower is a significant landmark in the city. Many residents who live close to the tower had been concerned that the structure would be torn down when the city modernized it's water system a few years ago. Improvements to the landscaping around the tower have upgraded the appeal of the landmark tower. It's nice when we get to keep an historic structure.
