Daylight Savings Time begins on March 11,2007.. that's this weekend!
Just in case you have forgotten beginning this year Daylight Savings is 3 weeks earlier then in previous years. The good news is that all of us living in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo and the other cities in the South Bay can spend more time in outdoor activities.
We can play a round of golf at The Lakes or The Marriott Course or take an evening walk along The Strand or The Esplanade. Catch the sunset after work instead of during the drive home. Play a little evening tennis at Live Oak or other Manhattan Beach courts. Check the schedules for Parks in Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and El Segundo
The bad news is that you must be sure all your electronic devices are updated to incorporate the time changes if they were purchased prior to January 18, 2007. If you are a Microsoft Windows user got Microsoft Daylight Savings Time to get updates if you don't use Windows automatic updating. If you are a Mac user or have any Apple product go to Support and click on the appropriate download.
If you have a cell phone you may need to get a patch to change the time. Check with your service provider.
Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile or Nextel
If you use a smart phone you may need to contact the phone manufacturer before going to your service provider.
Palm, Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung or Motorola
