75% of the population in the City of Manhattan Beach rates the quality of life in Manhattan Beach as excellent. What they like best was how safe the community is, living near the beach, being close to friends and family and the small town feel of our community. What they disliked was... surprise.. Traffic congestion, lack of parking, overbuilding and not enforcing building codes more strictly. The information came from a telephone canvass of 400 residents that were randomly selected.
Rents in the South Bay jumped 5.7% and the vacancy rate is less then 3%.
