Today through this Sunday, Oct. 28, members of the community may drop off items or make donations at the following three centralized locations. Please ensure that any items donated are in good condition and function properly:
Hermosa Beach:
Hermosa Beach Fire Department 540 Pier Ave.
Manhattan Beach:
Marine Avenue Sports Complex Hall 1635 Marine Ave.
Redondo Beach:
Beach Cities Health District514 N. Prospect Ave. (back parking lot)
Drop-off hours are between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Items needed by disaster victims are:
clothing, small appliances such as toasters or microwave ovens, tableware (utensils, plates, cups), towels, hair dryers, tested electrical equipment and battery-operated items such as clocks and radios, children's games and toys (with all pieces and parts) and furniture.
Please do not donate food and personal hygiene items, as these will be provided by the American Red Cross.
Those who wish to make donations to the American Red Cross may bring checks to the drop-off points above. Checks should be made payable to American Red Cross Disaster Fund Relief and may be earmarked 'Southern California Wildfires,' 'San Diego Wildfires' or 'Malibu Wildfires.'
