Three South Bay cities made it to the 25 most expensive communities in California.
No surprise if you are looking to buy in Manhattan Beach it was #2 for the volume of homes sold over $1,000,000. There were 444 homes sold in Manhattan Beach over $1,000,000 last year. Rolling Hills was #14 on the list with 315 homes selling over the million dollar mark. Rancho Palos Verdes was # 17 with a total fo 303 homes. You can access the entire article at Data Quick News.
As an interesting note the number of million dollar sales was higher in 2004 ( 458) then in 2005 (444) in Manhattan Beach. The highest closed sale in Manhattan Beach last year was $5.25 million. A Strand home just closed escrow at $8,880,000 so it will be interesting to see what prices the coming year brings.
