South Bay-Beach Cities: Sold January 2008

Manhattan Beach Bike Path

January just wasn't a good month anywhere in the South Bay. Manhattan Beach turned out to be the hotspot with 13 single family home sales. Hermosa, Redondo and El Segundo were not even close. YUCK!

Fortunately pending sales are looking a bit better but if rates continue to rise as they did today we may be looking back at January as a hot month. Sellers are not going to be happy but now would be a really good time to take a hard look at look at where your home is priced. If you have to sell then you better be sure you are priced at or below your competition. If you don't have to sell this might not be the best time to test the market. the one thing you don't want to do is to chase down the market. I guarantee you will lose more in the long run then if you bite the bullet now.
